Bathroom Organization

Well,
I had to come to terms with it eventually.

I can never, ever, have that sleek and stylish 6 foot-long
minimalist bathroom vanity...
gleaming with clean black marble luster.

I have always envisioned my master suite bathroom being gorgeous...
BUT,
I love my beauty products way too much.

I have realized that in order to my maintain happiness and sanity,
wherever I go, the products must also go.
And wherever they go, they will be used.
And that use causes bathroom mayhem.
So long, black marble.

Having put future home dreams aside,
I needed to find a solution to my current mess.
I have a tiny 1/2 bathroom to my name
and its' 2x2" (I know--my life is torture) vanity was quickly getting
buried each week under little piles of my stuff.
So what did I do?
I went on the prowl for some organization tools
to help me make some sense of it all.
I think I was fairly successful.

The situation went from this...

...to this! Neat and organized, with the help
of a shelf unit (I assembled it myself!) from Bed, Bath and Beyond.
I am well pleased.

These nifty little drawer organizers come in a pack of two
and will run you about $10 at Walmart.
I'm pretty sure other stores may have something similar.
I have my costume jewelry in this one, and some assorted
makeup items in the other.

Yay for neatness! Mom would be so proud...

A little browsing and...uh-oh, I did it again.

Won't somebody buy these for me,
please?
They're only $40 at DSW...

Welcome!

The name of this blog,
Ardore,
means "glowing" or "heat" in Italian.
I chose the name because of my Italian-American heritage and
because it reflects beautifully the way every girl wants to feel...

Lit from within,
 glowing,
and lovely.

...Also, it wasn't already taken.

My goal is to find simple ways to enjoy life,
make each day
a little more beautiful,
and share what I know with other women.

We always feel good when we look great,
so I am dedicating this blog to all things related to that.
Topics will range from beauty tips, hair, nutrition,
makeup, fashion, DIY, lifestyle, exercise, humor,
and anything else I can pick up along the way.

I hope I can contribute to this community
and the gorgeous ladies in it
who have helped and inspired me so much.

We'll see...
